AdventureWorld

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of AdventureWorld (https://adventureworld.online), operated by Emilian-Vasile Cristea, Hauptstrasse 112, 97909 Stadtprozelten, Germany ("we", "us"). By using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

AdventureWorld is a browser game currently in alpha (the "Founder's Alpha"). It is work in progress: features, content, and availability may change as development continues.

2. Accounts

You can play anonymously for a limited free period. To continue, you register an account with an email address and password. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see our privacy policy); deletion removes your saved worlds and personal data.

3. Purchases

The Founder's Alpha is sold as a one-time purchase that grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the digital content (the game and its updates during the alpha) for your personal, non-commercial use. The price is shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for the transaction.

4. Right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts, without giving any reason. To exercise it, contact us at support@adventureworld.online within 14 days of the purchase.

Immediate delivery of digital content: for digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, this right of withdrawal is lawfully waived when you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge the loss of your right. At checkout you must tick a checkbox confirming:

"I expressly agree that my digital content (AdventureWorld — Founder's Alpha) is made available to me immediately, and I acknowledge that I thereby lose my 14-day right of withdrawal."

Once we begin providing the content immediately with that consent and acknowledgment, your right of withdrawal expires. For any refund question, contact support@adventureworld.online.

5. Acceptable use

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Intellectual property

AdventureWorld — the game, its code, art, world, and content — is owned by us. A purchase grants you a license to play; it transfers no ownership or other rights to you.

7. Availability and alpha status

The service is provided in alpha state and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We store saved games on a best-effort basis and give no guarantee that any particular save will be preserved. We will try to avoid losing your progress, but please expect rough edges — that is the nature of an alpha.

8. Liability

We are fully liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health, in accordance with statutory law. In cases of simple negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual duty, and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes in advance (e.g. by email or in-game notice). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. This English version is provided as a courtesy; German law applies.
